Thanks to years of saving and working, and support from beloved family, customers, and friends, I have finally paid for my mission!
I’m cautious as I share this (and the only reason I am doing so here is that I had previously mentioned on the blog that profits helped to fund my mission) bc I hope to avoid seeming, and let’s get real, due to the natural man, being boastful as I celebrate.
But, as always, the most correct book on earth has some wisdom to share. I think this passage from Alma sums it up what I want to say perfectly.
“[Verse 11] I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.
[Verse 12] Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things...
[Verse 14] Yea, we have reason to praise him forever...
[Verse 16] Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel.”
—Alma 26:11-12,14,16
Y’all, I originally was going to title this post “I Did It!” but grimaced as the utter ridiculousness and pridefulness of this claim sunk in.
I would be NOWHERE without loyal customers, knowledgeable mentors, proud family and friends, my extremely supportive and amazing parents, and, most of all, my Heavenly Parents.
So to all of you who have supported me on this long journey, THANK YOU!!!
I’m not going anywhere anytime soon 😉 but I am one step closer to going on this mission (which was no small step!!) and for that, I “will boast of my God, for in His strength I can do all things.”
